Eckenstein-Geigy REHAB garden for animal assisted therapy Basel

Learning to live again and again

The REHAB Basel offers animal-supported therapy for people with acquired brain injuries or paraplegia. Interaction with an animal enables a different approach to therapy. Animal-supported work increases the motivation for therapy and promotes the psychological stabilisation, contact and communication skills as well as cognitive abilities of the patients. The highest value is placed on species-appropriate husbandry by the animal therapists.
